African Elephant
The African Elephant is the largest land mammal on Earth!
Its massive tusks first appear when the animal is two years old. The elephant uses the tusks for peeling bark off trees, digging, communication, digging for water and sometimes even as a weapon.
Males can grow 18 to 21 feet long and weigh up to 13,200 pounds. Females are about two feet shorter and weigh half as much. They can live up to 50 or 60 years old.
Elephants spend about 16 hours a day eating. Their diet is varied and includes grass, leaves, twigs, bark and fruit.

The Spotted Hyenas are commonly known for is human-like ‘laugh’ that it used for communication.
They scavenge and hunt medium to large hoofed animals targeting young antelope.
They live West to East and southern Africa.
They live in a clan and females only have 1-2 cubs a year.
